ZMA contains the following ingredients:
- Zinc- 30 milligrams
- Vitamin B6-10.5 milligrams
- Magnesium-450 milligrams
- 5 HTP-50 milligrams
- Folic Acid-100 mcg
Many testosterone supplement companies boast of ZMA’s ability to increase testosterone levels and decrease recovery time. However, there is little in the way of scientific studies backing this claim. In 1998 a study was conducted on college football players taking ZMA. According to the study those football players taking ZMA claimed increased muscle mass over those football players not taking supplements. Although this study sounds great, it was funded by SNAC Systems, the patent holder, so many have questioned whether the study was biased.
Can ZMA 5 help you fall asleep faster? The ingredient that can help with sleep induction in ZMA 5 is 5 HTP. 5 HTP can be found in several all-natural sleep supplements. Like ZMA, there are no real credible clinical studies backing its abilities. However, most sleep supplements containing 5 HTP have gotten positive customer reviews so it should have an impact.
With ZMA 5 there are some potential minor side effects. With some users, ZMA has a laxative-like effect. Side effects associated with ZMA include: headaches, stomach aches, diarrhea, nausea. Be sure to drink plenty of water in conjunction with ZMA 5.

ZMA 5 can be found online for around $25 plus shipping and handling. $25 isn’t much for a testosterone booster, but there isn’t much science backing the product which means it might be $25 too much, especially considering there is no money back guarantee.
